Making Fun

Just found (thanks, Liz!) this very easy comic-creation site – Pixton.  You can create comics very quickly (using their existing templates) or spend a bit more time and get it just the way you want by using their advanced settings. Even with the quick-template method, you can control fonts, colors, add objects/symbols/props, change the character, add frames to cover a longer story. In the advanced mode, you can create your own character, alter facial expressions and clothing, add landscaping, and re-work the frames.  This comic took me about 5 minutes to create. When you’re done, you can email your comic to anyone or embed it (as I’ve done here). I think this could be a great tool for students. Creating a comic to show a lab procedure, sum up a key concept, or tell the story of historical figure. What else?
